We tell Nonfiction Multimedia Stories of social impact. We love to work on commissioned assignments that involve producing short documentary films for specific purposes, say for showcasing to investors, raising funds from donors, enroling strategic partners or highlighting your mission to the media.
Our clients hire us for our ability to understand the social impact of their interventions and craft it into a visual story that can emotively connect with their stakeholders. We work with social entrepreneurs, changemakers, accelerators and philanthropy or funding organizations.
In our pursuit of stories, we have traveled to different parts of the country and interacted with many people and communities across cultures, languages and regions. A brand that stands for a specific social mission and weaves a compelling yet honest narrative of its social impact is a big asset to possess for a startup. Storytelling is the best way of building such a brand. Coaching startup leaders in institutionalization of storytelling is the first step in this direction.
This is a concise, crisp and a participative workshop designed for initiation into the perceptive and creative world of storytelling for social enterprise founders, marketing professionals and organizational leaders.
For whom is this course best suited
This workshop is meant primarily for startup founders, leaders and marketing or communication professionals in social impact sectors such as education, healthcare, water & sanitation, clean energy, livelihood creation and organizations working towards circular economy.
What will the participants learn
They will learn basics of storytelling, identifying potential stories from a variety of events occurring in their businesses and telling these stories to the right audience. The objective is to make storytelling a focused and an organization wide endeavor.
One third of this workshop is about understanding basic concepts of storytelling while the rest is designed to be an interactive session where participants share their real-life startup experiences from which potential stories are identified. These stories are then classified into 3 categories as per their frequency and relevancy to the startup.
One theme is selected from each of the categories and a deep dive is done to articulate the type of stories that can be created from them. Parallelly, an interactive discussion is conducted to determine the ‘Story Gatherers’ and ‘Story Moderators’ to institutionalize storytelling within the organization.
This workshop course can be customized to an accelerator cohort program or to match the expectations of members of a startup incubator. It can be conducted in both half a day or full day versions.
We provide Storytelling Consultancy to startups and impact organizations with an aim to institutionalize storytelling within their organization. This can be done either on retainer or pay per session basis.
