Some Live In A Dream World, Some Face The Reality. And Then There Are Those Who Turn One Into Another.
‘One Life, One Passion’ is a Visual Storytelling Project that aims at telling real, positive & meaningful stories of passionate social entrepreneurs and social good. Through this project, I want to highlight and promote an upcoming breed of new age entrepreneurs and individuals who want to positively impact the world than just earn money. Stories are told by combining rich visual imagery with a written narrative.
Idea for this project was born in May 2014 while sitting around alone in my house. it occurred to me that there must be scores of people like me who have refused to be drawn into the rat race and instead have decided to follow their passion. I needed to find them, meet them and tell their stories. Co-incidentally,it was during this time that I learned that a lady called Steph Jeavons was arriving in Mumbai as a part of her solo trip around the globe on her Honda CRF 250. She hoped to travel through at least 6 continents and 42 countries in one and an half years.I contacted her on Facebook, briefed her on what I wanted to do and she obliged. So, in June 2014 I began ‘One Life, One Passion’ with Steph Jeavons.
Since then I have had the opportunity to meet many passionate and self-motivated individuals from different walks of life and hear their respective experiences first-hand. From being a pure photography project when it started, ‘One Life, One Passion’ has evolved into a complete visual storytelling effort. So far, I have created stories on 12 passionate individuals- 2 adventurers, 3 creative entrepreneurs and 7 social entrepreneurs. Some of the stories written by me have been published in leading positive news media. Over a period of time, I have streamlined this project to focus on social entrepreneurs because I believe that their ventures have immense storytelling potential.
Each story I create has 2 pieces- A short 4-5 minute film AND a 900-1000 worded article with 12-15 high quality images.
